Creative thinking is a trainable skill and The Idea Hunter exists to raise your current ability up to a level that will empower you to successfully tackle any problem or opportunity that you face. It will unlock your potential for fresh thinking in both your personal and professional lives.

Your creative thinking skills will most likely have been bullied into virtual submission by the strong emphasis on minimising risk, avoiding mistakes and the "one right answer" syndrome. For once, blaming the parents (plus your teachers and bosses) is probably very fair! Your mind needs to reacquaint itself with this mode of creative thinking to enable you to fulfill your potential. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how quickly you can start to reap the rewards.

Our favoured format starts off with an Introductory session providing an informative background to all the following work which helps to reveal how the techniques we use are able to provoke new perspectives and deliver new insights. For a more detailed breakdown of this and subsequent sessions please see the ‘content’ section.

The following sessions concentrate on using divergent thinking to explore and define the challenge that is being worked on. This enables us to gather many different perspectives and then flush out the best working definition. A second stage of divergent thinking using numerous individual and/or group techniques generates as many ideas as possible. It is vital that no judgements on their merits are made at this early stage as we will need to elaborate and improve them in order to mould them into suitable shape.

The workshop will boost your confidence in your ability to face challenges that previously may have been put to one side (mentally or physically). We all like to be able to come up with ideas which actually make a difference when they are put in place and now you’ll be finding this enjoyment again and again.

Workshops are preferably conducted in small groups of around 8 people (other numbers can easily be accommodated) and can take place on or off-site. Scheduling, and indeed all aspects of the workshop, will be tailored to fit in with your requirements.

The Idea Hunter can also be used for one-off projects or pitches in order for you to find that insight or “bit of magic” that will leave your competitors back on the starting line.
